Evenin' Gents.

I have just this minute installed HPS Corinth for the 1st time.
[:D]
The "About" section tells me it's v1.0.

I am booked to play in the HACW Tourney and my Opponent has sent me the 1st Turn. He tells me that He is using v1.01a. I have read many a post regarding differences between this Version and the patch Version (v1.03, available on the HPS Site.

My Question is this - Can anyone kindly point me to a site where I can download Patch v1.01a for Corinth and oblige? [8D]

Many Thanks Men,

Pat.

Whoops! Misread the request. I checked to see if I still have 1.01a, but
I don't.

Hi Pat,

I used http://www.glinq54.com/acw/acw.htm . DO NOT USE THE 1.03 PATCH AT HPS! If you do that it will not accept any new maps. Use this site to add in the right mods: http://www.brettschulte.net/ACWCGDC/AddOnSetup.htm .

The scenarios are found at the same site.

There are 2 situations to consider.

1. If you are ONLY going to play MODS, then version 1.01a is all you need.

2. If you intend to play BOTH "normal" scenarios and MOD scenarios, then you MUST have two instances of CORINTH.

If you have a NEW install, without additions, here is the simplest way to set up for #2.

If you used the default install with CORINTH, then your game resides at C:/program files/HPS Simulations/campaign corinth. In WINDOWS Explorer, COPY the entire folder /Campaign Corinth to the C:/ drive. (This simply copies the entire game to another, different portion of the "C" drive.) For convenience sake, rename that new folder CORINTH_MOD (or some designation) and place a NEW shortcut on your desktop for that game.

Now, apply the V1,01a update to the CORINTH_MOD folder (make sure your alter the default to point to the correct folder).

Also, apply the LATEST HPS patch to your other, normal game folder.

Now, you have 2 seperate games for Corinth.

Thank you to Capt. Lajoie for pointing out the problem with the links I provided. I have fixed the links in my reply.

Thank you to Gen. Sands for once again providing his instructions on installing and running 2 versions of Corinth. I haved used these instructions with great success.

Capt. Lajoie, if I may suggest: It may be wise to put up a webpage on the HACW website you have developed with the appropriate instructions and links. I know I had to do some digging to get things installed and running right.

Hi Chaps! [8D]

I'd just like to say Thanks to Y'all that rallyed to my call for assistance! Thank Y'all - one 'n' all.

I am now set up with both versions of Corinth and have commenced my Defence of Middle Creek against the Infernal Union! [B)]

I'd like to thank my opponent Col. Randy Hartwig for his kind patience and assistance in getting this far. Randy the Gloves come off NOW! [:p]

I have one final query . . not Life-Threatening or critical . . . . Just curiousity. [8]

If I download the alternative 3D and/or colour Unit graphics - they overwrite the original Files? If so MUST my opponent modify his setup accordingly? [?] In simple terms . . . if one Player has these Files downloaded in his HPS Game and the Other doesn't . . . . will this cause Game Foul-Ups/File Corruption or make the Game unplayable in some Manner?

Gents - I await your undoubted Knowledge and Experience with Interest.

And again . . . . Thank Y'all! [;)] [8D] [:D]

The graphics only hava an effect on YOUR computer. There is no need for both players to have/use the same graphics packages.

The only thing both players must have is the same version of the game.
