[:D]Let me be the first to publically congratulate General Dierk Walter for receiving the MEDAL of HONOR!!! Dierk has done a fabulous job with the Union War College. He also has contrubuted in so many other ways ( he is the most prolific poster).

On a personal note, not only has he been a real champion for the club he has also helped me with many techinical problems always with consideration and courtesy.

<SALUTE> to a real hero!!!

Major General Tony Best

Hm, what do you know that I don't, Tony?

Can't be, it would be my third one. I've never heard of anyone receiving it more than twice. [:I]

Thanks, Gentlemen.

Seems by a trick of fate the only one who wasn't informed about this is me. See how the army works? The guy who should know is always the last to know. [:I]

I want to thank everyone for their contributions to the War College--keep them coming!--and for Maj. Gen. Kaulbars for his enthusiasm and many ideas that will continue to make the War College better, now that he holds the reins himself. Please give him all the support that you have given me.

The Union Forever!

General Walters Sir,

You will be sorely missed as the Commandant of the Union War College. The College helped me improve my game 10 fold when I needed help and continues to do so. Though I have not express thanks in the pass as I should have it has been an honor to have had someone like you to head such an important position.
No other word can describe (just outstanding).
Even the Medal of Honor seems to fall short for you service.
I salute you sir and hope you enjoy the relief from the work load.
