I am considering getting Aide De Camp and I was wondering if there is any interest in playing boardgames PBEM from members in the club.
I dont have any ACW boardgames at the moment but I do intend to add some to my (small ) collection. The games I have are Avalon Hill,s Russian Front, Luftwaffe,War and Peace, Third Reich 1776 and 1914.

Chris,

*YES*! [8D]

I have ADC II but haven't used it in a long time. It's about the only way I can see playing my boardgames, though. Alas, I no longer have any of those you list, but if you get to the point of needing an opponent I would pick up W&P again. (Always regretted selling that one as I decided later you can use the counters for Empires in Arms...)

Thanks for the reply, Sean. Can you list the games you have and I will do some bidding for some of them on ebay. Come to think of it I think WandP should keep us occupied for quite some time !
I will go ahead and order ADC and get the ball rolling.
Always nice to hear from a fellow Brit ( I'm an English ex-pat )

Hi Chris,

Ummm...I'm an American! [8D] So we just passed somewhere over the Atlantic... Just working over here for a while.

My first choice would be any of AH's *excellent* GCACW series of games (Stonewall Jackson's Way, etc). Haven't gotten to play those in too long, and they remain my favourite system.

Moving on, I couldn't possibly list all my games! [:D] But let's talk genre and go from there. Do you have any of the Gamers games, specifically their ACW titles (Brigade series or Regimental sub-series)? Or any of (SPI/TSR/SDI/GMT) Richard Berg's regimental ACW games? Those would be another option to try.

Hi Sean,
My Aide De Camp has arrived so lets have a go at Stonewall Jackson's Way.
In haven't got the actual game but I downloaded the module, rules and charts from Muti-Man.
Send me an email at cookie1@xmission.com so we can get it set up.
Best regards,
Chris

In fact, Bill , it was your review of Napoleonic boargames early this year in the NWC forum that renewed my interest. How about doing something similar for ACW boardgames ?

WOW Bill, I thought I was a nerd! [:D][;)]

Do you happen to have Avalon Hill's The Guns of August? I love that game but it is annoying as heck trying to move the pieces on that small board. I would be interested in playing an Aide de Camp conversion.

Have ADC II too and am a very active board gamer.. Have many games and especially like the Europa series, as well as Duel at Kharkow, Gamer's "DAK", SPI "Korsun Pocket", COA "Napoleon at Leipzig", GDW "Road to the Rhine", SPI "Stonewall in the Valley", and many more. So just suggest something..!
