Hi, Mark,

Sounds like a fascinating game, but is it the Civil War? I have read all the AARs with great interest, and in every one it seems that the South plays the whole game on the strategic defensive. It seems that Lee's two invasions of the north would be suicidal. After getting burned with the Ageod game, I will continue to evaluate.

The biggest problem with trying to pull off those type offensives as the CSA is that you aren't playing the Union command of 1863. Most players are aware enough of the history to take the steps to avoid them. Saying that however it is not impossible for the South to attack, usually just not an invasion of the north like Lee attempted twice.

I have the game and love it. The learning curve is thick (esp. with the Union) but well worth the time and effort, imho.

There is a patch coming out shortly. I'll be glad to give you a game as soon as it is released. I've already got it so I'll have to wait until you can get it also.

The patch was released last night. Go ahead and start up and send the file to nelmsm(at)amaonline(dot)com. I prefer to play with historical leaders and none of the other options.
