I am playing a Peninsula campaign with a friend who is running Vista. The file is found and cleanly loads from the campaign start prompt, however the file cannot be found when opening the respective folder, and therefore cannot be zipped and emailed.

Could this be related to the known error printed at the HPS site?

"It appears that Vista imposes restrictions on files created in the "C:\Program Folders\" directory, which is the default install folder for all HPS games. Users should instead install the games to another folder, such as "C:\HPS\" (this is done when the program is initially installed)."

Yes, almost certainly does.

Personally I use C:\Games\ACW\ for all my ACW games...

If by "gaming" you mean getting my butt kicked on the field, then yes, I am alive and well.

You are correct that it's because of how Vista uses Program Files. The saved games are now located in a folder called Program Data. Vista separates the data from the program for programs installed in Program Files. I'm pretty sure the Program Data folder is also associated with a specific user, too. Your saved game is there, you just have to find it in that folder. It will have a subfolder by the name of the game that saved information there. If I were you, I'd copy the saved game file, unistall the game, and then reinstall the game into a non-protected folder. I created a folder called GAMES, and I install all my games into that.
