Since you chaps wear your stars on your collars, I suppose keeping your heads down, so that your double chins will cover those stars, will help you to hide from sharpshooters. For us, as we wear them stars on our shoulders, I say keeping our heads up high will be much more useful. [8D]

Then of course I am rather surprised to learn you Rebs do *have* sharpshooters. Where'd you get the rifles, eh? Surely your homespun industries cannot provide the scopes for proper sharpshooting.

Many thanks, yanks and rebs alike! I owe alot of my education in the club here to a good many rebs, as well as the unit icons, who have paid for that education with their simulated lives.

Thanks again all for making this such an enjoyable club.

Congratulations to you all but in particular to my new friend Maj Gen Seger, with whom I am battling desperately in my first campaign game ever (Corinth). And just a quick note about the deserving General's name: In my native tongue Swedish, Seger means Victory...
A bad omen for me indeed...![;)]

My dear General Walter, you may want to ask General John Sedgwick, General William Lytle or any number of union artillerymen if the confederacy had sharpshooters. The typical southern soldier was very familiar with firearms having grown up in an environment where hunting was common place, unlike the union factory worker turned soldier. I will agree those factories were quite useful for making those rifles our boys could collect on the field after yours decided they could run faster without.[:0]
As to the stars, neck or shoulder...all one needs do is aim for the spot in-between and 6 inches lower.[xx(]
