Is a badger a rodent? I thought it was related to the bear.

From Wikipedia:

"Badgers, occasionally referred to as brocks, are short-legged, heavy-set carnivores in the weasel family, Mustelidae."

I'm not sure if Larry was/is a 'short-legged, heavy-set carnivore', or not. [:o)]

Reading Pierre's post reminds me to thank him and the others early on who brought the CSA & USA together, and set up the OBD system as an alternative to the ladder concept. That really sets the tone for the club, recognizing that we need each other even while we're trying to beat each other.

That really is a novel concept. How was it arrived at? Any precursors?

After a long hiatus (of nearly 8 years?) I am getting my feet wet again. And after a thanksgiving day full of gluttony my older brother John may join back up after reminiscing on great computer games. I think that my last game played was the semi final game against my brother (A true house divided) in the great Club-Wide Tourny that 'Wierd Al' Amos put on way back when.

Talk about Big Government and growth of the Bureacratic State the Boys in DC want to run me through the Academy again. Well I could probably use the dust off but I am eager to play again and resume old acquaintances and make new ones again over fun games.

Anyone want to start a game in BGG, BGS, BGN, BGBR or Corinth let me know. All I can promise you is that at the end of the game I will be better than at the beginning. I have completely forgotten the tactics honed by John and I over years and years of playing these games.

Good to see you all and looking forward to meeting the members that have joined since my early retirement.

Welcome Back Gen. Gremmels. I would think it is like swimming. those tactics will come back to you in no time.

Tom and John,

I didn't realize y'all'd been gone that long. Good to have you back!

If you get into the HPS games, you will find a lot has changed. But I think there are a fair number of folks who still play the Talonsoft games around here somewhere. Good luck, and welcome back!

Sincerely,

MG Mike Mihalik

I would suppose that shouldn't be necessary.

But yes, you will be assigned a new brigade.

Good to see you mike and looking forward to seeing your backside on the field sir.
