Thanks for the pictures Ernie. I wish I could have been there and met in person the many opponents I have had in cyberspace. Good pics of Stone's River as well. I have never been there, but hopefully someday I can take a summer and hit many of these battlefields on an extended road trip.

Great Pics Ernie. Any grand announcements from Tiller and company?

BTW-the Rebel Brain Trust looks suspect to me!

Figured no sense in making a second post so here are the pictures I took on my trip to Tiller Con III.

http://cid-f0ddd8dac4753bb2.skydrive.li ... lbums.aspx

In addition to shots from TC III, you'll find albums from my visit to Chickamaugua Battlefield and Lookout Mountain Parks on my way there as well as others I've posted in the past. When you've finished looking at one album you can return to the main folder using the Photo link

Ernie and Ken,

Thanks for the pictures of Tiller Con but also the battlefields. I have never had the chance to see some of them and I do appreciate it!

Suspect is not the half of it.

They hadn't washed in weeks, reeked of stale tabaccy, hadn't shaved since they left the farm AND were BAREFOOT!!

If you notice, people stayed away from that end!!![;)]

I did a little research on that. Seems that it is a regular event at Nashcon. (Considering what he must have invested in it, makes sense.)

Thanks for the photos too Ken! Nice to see you again. Glad you had a safe trip home.

Ernie, Ken, Bill,

Thanks for sharing your pictures. A great time was had by all. Hopefully we can see everyone again in two years, and I hope even more members can attend.

Bill - Just to give credit where it's due, I believe the Gettysburg scenario for our multi-player game was designed by Mike Mihalik. Ken did design the Murfreesboro game.

Thanks to Rich Hamilton and Rich Walker for all their work in putting together a most successful TC III. Also to Ernie Sands for his work in helping both Rich's set up the computers.

Thanks also to Bob Weir for designing and producing the beautiful T-shirts and hats commemorating TillerCon III.

And of course, thanks to John Tiller for attending and eliciting comments and suggestions from attendees at the interest group seminars.

Can't wait for the next one!

I just wanted to thank all those who attended and how glad I was to see everyone. I will certainly plan on a TCVI in 2012.

Maybe to promote interest in attending TC IV in 2012, the cabinet could consider a recognition ribbon (with bars) for attendees?

Lt. Colonel Cox (Mike) has raised a very valid and innerestin' point here - imho.

I have long mused upon the value and the 'practicality' (<font size="2"><i>is that an actual word</i></font id="size2">?) of the Club's Medal and Awards systems. Whilst it is nice to have a Dossier bedecked with pixelated Medals and Ribbons . . . . I have oft-times wondered about the possibility of awarding (via Snail-Mail), actual, real-life, test them by biting on them, Medals . . . and of course Ribbons.

Many Members have swopped postal addresses in Real Life, particularly in connection with 'Block' purchases of HPS Games - i.e. the 5 games for the price of 3 offer . . . (<font size="2">Is that offer still available to Club Members BTW</font id="size2">???) . . . so, receiving Your Medal would be optional, depending on how Private You wish to keep Your actual location . . . [;)]

Certainly, the prospect of a 'guaranteed' attendence of Members at a venue like Tillercon, would strike Me as an excellent opportunity for Attendees to be honoured with a Ribbon on their Dossier, with the added potential of presenting Attendees with an actual, solid Medal and Ribbon for their Mantlepiece?

There is at least one Company in Ireland that manufactures Medals and Ribbons etc, to order. I would presume that there would be quite a few such companies in the U.S.?

Of course the cost factor would have to be researched and properly apportioned . . . However, it'd never happen, unless someone was prepared to pick up the Ball and run with it. [:o)]

Just my 2 cents worth on this inneresting Topic. ( <font size="2">I accept Cheques, Postal Orders, PayPal and all Major Credit Cards</font id="size2">.) [:p]

<br />Well if anyone deserves a ribbon for playing the MOST games its Mike.
