Paul Kenney and I are in the opening battle of an Atlanta campaign, turn 9. Everything has been going normally, until I received the most recent game file from him. When I began to watch the replay of his move, I realized I could see his entire force, as if FoW was no longer on. I stopped it quickly, reloaded the file, and tried opening it without running the replay, and a quick glance again told me I could see his entire force.

We're both patched up to date. Not sure what's going on - has anyone else run into this?

Only when the players don't encrypt the turns and your opponent fails to finish his, otherwise it sounds like a Reb trick.

It is best to send the file(s) to HPS support at support@hpssims.com as you can get a resolution from there.

I've seen that happen a few times over the years. Could this be one of those issues where the file has become corrupted? It's good practise to delete the .xxx and .yyy files after each turn as they can sometimes cause problems. I run a batch file I created so this only takes a couple of seconds.

I too have seen this happen a few times, it even occurred occsionally in the old Talonsoft games. Normally having your opponent resend the file cleared up the problem although occasionally we had to back up and redo the turn to clear it up.

As it is a relatively common problem:

1. Delete PBEMAIL.XXX and YYY files
2. Delete CAMPAIGN.XXX and YYY
3. Delete any BTC and BTO files
4. Those are all temporary files.

Both players need to do this and then the player needs to redo the last turn and the problem should be resolved.

If not, then send to HPS Support.

If it is a cpf file it can't be encrypted, though.
