"Any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable and most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can may revolutionize and make their own of so many of the territory as they inhabit."

Congratulations to all the officers and their promotions, all well deserved,
but especially my old and new Army of Georgia friends, Pat Carroll
and Cam McOmish, well done, let the celebrations (and hangovers) begin.

Oh, no! Cameron McOmish now a full general?!!! Just how many points is he being awarded for his tavern raids anyway? Now I suppose that he will not only expect to be served in the Union Taverns, but that he will demand the best brands in the house!

General Meyer I do not tavern raid for the points (there are none dang it), but for the pure love of the sport. I just love being an equal opportunity pest

Congrats Gentlemen, well deserved by all!

General Meyer, I'm afraid General McOmish's palate was pretty much destroyed in New Orleans back in 1859 by a bottle of highly flammable white rum, seems he was lighting his cigar and his breath caught fire, burned the taste buds right off his tongue, he can't tell the difference between stump water and fine Kentucky bourbon so you needn't worry about his drinking your "good stuff"
On a side note the camp surgeon had to cover his tongue with lambs skin to aid in the healing process....you may have noticed when he's had a bit to much and falls asleep on the bar that his snoring sounds a little like baaaa....baaaa!
