Gentlemen of the ACWGC,

It gives me great pleasure to make announcement that eight of our sterling and staunch defenders of the Union have received General Rank promotions this month. Their official commissions are displayed within the Parade Ground & Mess Tent of the Union Army HQ Forum.

Four of the officers are from the Army of the Tennessee.

Colonel Zafer Edjer, 5/2/XVI, and Colonel John Sheffield, 2/XVI have both been promoted to Brigadier General.

Brigadier Generals Stefan Reuter, 2/XV, and John Lytwak, 3/XVI, have both been promoted to Major General.

The other four officers are from the Army of the Cumberland.

Brigadier Generals Paul Ayers, 1/XIV, Kevin Killeen, 2/XIV, and Doug Shaw, 1/XX, have each been promoted to Major General.

Major General Philip Roubaud, Commander of the Army of the Potomac, has received his fourth star to a full generalcy!

Please join me for celebratory drinks to these fine officers and for their excellent contributions to this club! I must caution everyone, however, that they run the risk of injury in this establishment, as the weight of all these new, glittering stars has seriously undermined and weakened the floor!

I agree General, with all this extra gold and brass we will be able to see them many miles away - we may have to issue dark glasses to our men (this may be a problem as they have yet to be invented?)

Well done Gents <salute> - the celebratory drinks are being held where?

General Meyer,

While I do appreciate the promotion, I should point out that I am the commander of the Army of the Potomac, not the Army of the Cumberland.

Congratulations Sir

All this brass and confusion - Potomac Cumberland? Oh well hopefully I meet Pope and not Grant at Vicksburg!

Bring on the mint juleps Sir!

Congratulations, gentlemen! The next round of drinks is on me! As for some of the rebel comments here I can only say that our glorious Union soldiers should not need any extra shiny guidance for their bullets to find their targets, gentlemen!

General Schmidt <salute>

Suh, my compliments! Your colors look an awful lot like General Hardee's battle flag. Are you considering coming over to the dark side?
