Mr. President and the Officers of the ACWGC,

Salute...

I have requested that my resignation as the CoA, CSA to be accepted ASAP...I once requested it to be in place so that the election process can be held in December by the 31st. The cabinet will advise everyone of this new election.

Due to some more illness, I have requested that it be moved up ASAP....

I have enjoyed my tenture and I have many friends because of this club. I will continue to fight for the Rebels but as a Brigade Commander for the ANV. I will keep up with the games but not as many as I once did.

Keep up the fight!!! Because the battle is not over, it has just begun.....

"Any people, anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable and most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people, that can may revolutionize and make their own of so many of the territory as they inhabit."

Willie: It has been an honor and pleasure to have worked with you on the Cabinet for some time.

I wish you well and hope you kick your health issues in the pants.

I am glad to see you are remaining in the club, regardless of your chosen SIDE!

Your successor will have some big shoes to fill, but I am sure that it will all work out.

Get well soon Suh <salute>

I do hope your health does not stop you drinking - as it is tradition that any retiring CoA must do a ACWGC tavern crawl

A salute to my counterpart, "The Grey Fox!"

(Although perhaps I should now be concerned that he will have more quality time in tearing up his Union opponents!)

Sir <Salute>

From our first training battle together at VMI to our last correspondence at Champion's Hill you have been a credit to the imaginary uniform and a real trooper in the world of exceptional PBEM Civil War gaming that is ACWGC.

Warm Regards and Best Wishes,

In preparation for the retiring CoA tavern crawl call all AC’s (including Union) please report the status of their tavern bar stocks. I have it on good authority that The Grey Fox will be going out large, so I would recommend that all Taverns are overstocked rather than understocked.

Something tells me that Cam's going to really be "cracking the kegs" on this one! I'm already missing some twenty-three wagonloads of spirits from the DC dispensary. The onliest thing we manage to catch was a purely blitzed mule skinner who fell of his wagon before crossing the Potomac. True to form he prattled on after we apprehanded him about how we in the North owed it to the South for all of their suffering and such, claiming that we made more than we needed anyhow and that the liquid treasures of the North should be spread out for everyone!

The cheeky son-of-a-gun is breaking rocks now at Point Lookout. Claims he's a cousin of Stewart Stiles and ought not to be treated in such a fashion!

Must have been drunk to be desperate enough to claim being related to General Stiles.

Willie,

First off, I pray you get better! Second, THANK YOU for your many years of service and for being an institution in the CSA the way that Lee was in real life. Also thank you for standing by me on many an occasion, you are the finest example of a Southern Gentleman & leader. Very few sit as high as you do in their service to the CSA & Club!
