General Tisdale asked me to post this for him.

Gentlemen,

I hate to be the beared of bad news but I must resigned from the club. I have not been feeling very well, and my grandkids are more important to me. I hope that I leave you all on good terms and I have enjoyed my self these years.

General Tisdale is a fine Southern gentleman and will be missed.

That is too bad, but RL does surface. I am sorry to see him resign.

I had the pleasure of playing several games with Gen. Teasdale, and found him a fine gentleman and an able opponent.

I had the honor of being trained by Willie at VMI. I really enjoyed gaming with him. I will miss his steady hand and thick skin.

Warm Regards, Kind Sir!

My personal salute to you, General Tisdale! We played but once, and it was a memorable event for me. Had you but one more fresh regiment to throw against my right, my whole line would have gone. As it was, my exhausted boys watched your people recede from the lines, having witnessed what seemed to be the unrelenting power of a true Rebel assault, and knowing that a DRAWN result with you was something of a victory in itself!

General Tisdale,

It was a pleasure serving under your command, the CSA and this club will always be indebted to you for your years of service. Under your current command you will be sorely missed at the Army of Northern Virginia and the CSA Eastern Theater.

Enjoy your retirement Willie, especially the time spent with your grand kids.

<SALUTE>

General Tisdale and I crossed swords just one brief time, but his thoughtfulness and insight at the Tavern was required reading by me. I salute you sir.
