Fine Officers all, Congratulations to each!

Several men from Gen. Weir’s cavalry escort maneuver a rather large cask of Tennessee whiskey into the tavern.

A gift from the AotS.....can’t seem to hold on to their licker it would seem.

Drink up gentlemen!

I heartily approve of all these with the exception of General Swan! The man simply cannot hold his liquor well enough to be a full general. I hate to be so bluntly honest but I feel I must speak up. I have seen Cameron's own seven-year old daughter drink Swan under the table on three occasions!

I suggest we implement a drinking test to any and all future General candidates. Loose lips sink ships! And the Confederacy cannot spare losing any ships should Swan be captured and forced to drink a fifth of something stronger than Kool Aid. I shall endeavor to build up Swan's tolerance by joining him each night to imbide freely. By New Year's I hope he may be able to finish a Beer without hitting on the hat rack and passing out in the corner.

Gents,

I was not aware of Gen Swan's propensity to be laid low by small amounts of liquor. So I have reviewed his file and found that he did not attend the Senior Officers Advance Drinking Course - so in fact he should have not been promoted  I have advised him that he has three weeks to complete the SOADC and he better not finish it sober.

Well I swanee! A fellow better dang sure check his package after he does his drinkin' around here. Jus whose spitoon do y'all think you wuz drinkin' from after that last class? The monogram did not stand for spitoon, I can tell you that for certain sure.

Reminds me of that young shave tail that wanted to join III Corp. The CO said he could do it, but only after he passed three tests. He had to drink a jug of bark juice, wrestle a gator, and make love to one of Miss Clarissa's girls. He drank the jug right down and disappeared into the night. Showed up again in a couple of hours, all ripped to tatters as asking us all where was that whore he's to wrestle.
