Combined Command Christmas Ball.

Generals Cam McOmish and Joe Meyer have the pleasure to announce the holding of a combined Confederate and Union Officers ball to be held at the Williamsport Function Centre, on the 22nd of December 1863, 1800 hours for 1830. Details and programme of events is listed below:

Dress:
Officers: Mess Dress with miniature medals - swords optional
Ladies: Ball gowns, with the hemline at or below the ankle

Parking: Valet parking will be provided for officers of Brigadier rank and above; all other officers are to park buggies and horses at the rear of the Event Centre

Alcohol: This will be provided as part of the function, however officers are permitted to bring one hip flask into the venue – it’s capacity it to be no greater than one gallon

Guns: These are not permitted in the venue and must be handed into the gun check girl at the entrance

Large Animals: Given the propensity for some Confederate Officers to bring a safari of animals with them when they travel; all large animals are banned from the venue (The chances of the gator not biting someone are slim)

Programme of Events
1800 – 1830 hrs: Presentation of Officers and Wives to the hosting Generals – a glass of sherry on entry
1830 – 1845 hrs: Welcoming speeches by the hosting Generals
1845 hrs: Bar opens
1845 – 2045 hrs: Dancing and music
2045 – 2100 hrs: parading of the Christmas Turkey
2100 – 2200 hrs: Supper – provided by Mrs Miggins Pipe Shop (Richmond) and the Hagerstown Women’s Defence League
2200 – 0100 hrs: Dancing and music
0100 – 0130 hrs: Late Supper
0130 – 0500 hrs: Dancing and music
0500 hrs: Bar Closes
0510 hrs: Bar opens
0500 – 0600: Breakfast
0600 hrs: Bar Closed and all officers are to leave the venue

For those Confederate and Union officers in the mood there will be a further drinking session held at General Prax Swans house – the demon drink has him it it’s vice like grip – well done Suh

Gentlemen, may I introduce you to General Cam McOmish's sister? She really knows how to catch a man's eye! But watch out boys... she's been divorced five times and she is looking for her next victim... errrr... man!

Boys... don't let Brig. General Martin talk to Miss McOmish... it might be his undoing!

Gentlemen, please let me introduce you to Lt Chris Perleberg's sister... Maggie Perleberg. She's a nice homegrown Kansas girl. She can cook and clean and she'll watch sports with you all day long... as long as it's a Kansas Jayhawks game!

General Olinsky <salute>

Suh, my compliments!

You've been very busy dragging up photos, I see. Please remind your lieutenants of the consequences for poor manners when dealing with General McOmish's sister. We'd hate to see a repeat of the incident from three years ago!

Highest regards,

General McOmish <salute>

Suh, my compliments!

I pray that acting Brevet Command Sergeant Major Nicodemus is not considered a "safari animal". His service to our cause has been admirable over the last few years to the detriment of several Yankee pack horses for snacks as well as a few Yankee generals feeling their oats against "Gator Alley". I believe he'd be honored to supervise the valet parking of Yankee mounts for the occasion :D

I did notice the schedule of events included "2045 – 2100 hrs: parading of the Christmas Turkey". Will this be General Meyer or General Ringbloom?

Highest regards,
