What Brave Lads can win Louisbourg from my Defense? My King demands that I defend to the Last.....

Louisbourg - Phase Two - The Seige Begins/136 Turns

The siege of Louisbourg begins. After the fall of Lighthouse point and Battery Island, the British setup positions and began advancing towards the city. This scenario is an attempt to represent a period of a little over a month. The British gradually advanced down the shoreline, building emplacements and batteries as they went. Only some of the fortifications the British built are represented, in an attempt to prevent the French from having enhanced defenses. This will bring us up to July 25th, the day prior to the French surrender. This scenario is a slight variant on Louisbourg_b, with the lead British elements starting much closer to the French, so that contact can be made on turn one.
