... what's wrong with the damned flags? I took one, and now it shows the US colors again (can't say for sure that it ever showed mine), although I have a unit on it! <img src=icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle> I mean, there is something in the scenarion description about "holding" these places for the duration of the battle, but that can hardly mean that the very unit that took it has to remain there uninterruptedly until turn 48 ... can it?

Nothing is wrong with the flags.

What you are seeing is the supply source marker. Pull the 'view' tab down and un-check 'view supply source' then you will see that you captured the objective hex.

OK, fine, the objective is mine alright. Now what precisely does "hold" it for the duration of the battle mean? Do I have to have a unit on it permanently, or do I only have to prevent the Colonials from retaking it? (And if they retake it, and I retake it in turn, is this ok?)

have your flag on it by the end of the scenario.

OK, now forgive my asking the third question in a row, but does that mean we have to reach turn 48 in any case? (BTW, can one surrender in a campaign game at all?)

Thanks for the answer.

there is a termination bid you can use anytime. place the bid, if your opponent accepts the current game ends and you go to the branch in the campaign.

it is under one of the pulldown tabs, like settings, or modes, something like that.
