Gentlemen, the excellent BBC presentation of the Sharpe's series is available in it's entirety (14 100 minute episodes, VHS or DVD) at http://www.buy.com for US $13.99 each DVD. VHS less. Check in there often and order when they have discounted / free shipping. Anyone unfamiliar with the series visit http://www.bfsvideo.com for more info and trailers.

Ah yes the Sharpe series. Yeah it's fun to watch but you would not believe how damaging this series is to Napoleonic reenacting. Everyone want's to be Sharpe.
There's even a guy in the Glengarry Light Infantry who wears a bandana like one of the Sharpe characters.
Other inaccuracies:
Many characters not wearing proper headgear, jackets not buttoned up...
Now on the other side o the coin the 60th Rifles are accurately presented. Sgt. Hackeswel (spelling?) is excellent.
If you want a more accurate series to watch I recommend the Hornblower series on A & E.

Hornblower is next on the collection parade! The bandana was worn by one of the characters that was a deserter - maybe you should mock firing squad your reenactor friend!
