"Speaks of Powerful Deeds" - John Buxton

When Updates Are Normally Done

Gents,

Just so everyone knows, as sometimes we get questions about this. Updates to points, promotions, awards etc are done once a month, normally at the beginning of the month, though it depends on my schedule. Our Secretary of War, Garry Cope, who handles all of the records in the Club Archives sends out the Archives to the Club Admins on the last day of each month, typically.

From there he handles any updates to the French Army. Once I get it & have time I handle the updates for the British, Army, Continental American Army and the Indian Alliance. Usually I do it in phases, with points & promotions being done first and then later in the week I look over all of the games to see what ribbons can be awarded for anyone in any of the armies. I then update those & post on the forums about it.

British Army & sometimes Indian Alliance forum announcements are handled by me. Garry handles the French Army ones and either Phil Wilson or Lucas Kling do the Continental American Army ones.

Admin Points, which are awarded for folks who hold various command or admin positions in the Club are handled by Ernie Sands, our Club President and are sent to the Army Commanders for review & updates around the 3rd week of each month, so that any updates can be done & the report sent to Garry for inclusion in that month's Club Archives.

The Bounty, which I handle, is sometimes less consistent. I forget about the forms sometimes. But usually around the third week as well I send the winning form(s) to the Club Admins and Garry includes them in the Club Archives for that month. Like I said, sometimes I forget about the Bounty & it can take another month to post. Just send me a friendly reminder if you submitted one and didn't see any announcement about who won for the month. I usually post the winners & open the next month's Bounty on the forums.

As always, any questions feel free to ask! That's why we are here. :D

Thanks for gaming with us!
