Recruits Flow to the Continental American Army
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kingston, Upper Canada

Headquarters of the Military & Royal Governorship of His Most Britannic Majesty's Royal, Provincial and Colonial Dominion in British America and the British West Indies

The Commander-in-Chief of His Most Britannic Majesty's British Armies in America was most distressed by the news. His Majesty and the Privy Council were most concerned about the growing number of Colonial Rabble joining the Continental American Army. This was of the greatest of displeasures to him and to His Majesty. Rumors that the War was proceeding poorly and that fortunes were turning against Britannia and her forces.

"Percy, the bottle please" the Viscount Ludwig of Lexington stated in a low tone. He was to be made a Field Marshal shortly, but it seemed to be of such a sad state of affairs for such an occasion. "They used to be so small" he stated as he placed his head in his hands, "Now they are almost as big as we are!"

He sits there speechless while he drinks.

Thanks you to every one of the 8 new Officers of the Continental American Army this year so far. I am pleased to have each & every one of you with us in the Club! :D Tony Malone is the 20th New Recruit for us in 2014 and he is the 30th Officer to be listed on the Continental American Army Roster.

The Continental American Army now sits only a mere 15 officers away from being as big as the British Armies in America, which has 45 officers. The last two years has seen more new Club members join the Continental American Army. In fact of the 30 new officers in the last two years, almost half, 14 have joined the Continental American Army. The French Army has seen a significant growth too, for them, to 20 officers now. In fact in the last two years more new members have joined armies other than the British Army, making the Club more even in forces, diverse in membership and offers more playability for our members. The Continental American Army ranks had first constricted as the rolls were cleared of inactive members, but over the last year & a half, some of those members have come back and even more have joined as fresh officers to the Club, allowing for a renaissance of the Army. The Continental American Army website also received a facelift this past Spring that greatly enhanced it's image in the Club. Further small details will be worked on for the website, but overall it is good shape.

This is a sign, to me at least, that the Club is healthy & growing after a period of slow growth & loss. The British Armies in America also enjoyed fresh blood to the ranks and new people to be members of our forces, but it had also been greatly reduced in membership over the last couple years or so and has yet to recover fully from those losses.

So thank you to each of the new members from 2013 & 2014 so far. We have three more new officers in the works currently and some inquiries into the Club too from other venues, so we are doing very, very well! :D

May the Continental American Army enjoy further success & growth in membership as we move forward!

Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!
