15th Anniversary Celebration & Tournament Sign Up

Gents,

This past February marked 15 Years that the Colonial Campaigns Club (CCC) has been in action here.

A lot has gone on over the years and a lot of fun & game playing has been had. Though the faces have changed somewhat over the years, the mission has not! To make this a fun & enjoyable place for folks to play the games of the wars we cover.

I am hoping to use the rest of the year to celebrate, as we have time, this great milestone for us!! 8)

For now, what better way than to see if folks are interested in a Tournament. No format has been decided on yet, I simply want to gauge how many folks are interested and what games they own. Then we'll go from there.

So if you're interested, post here or email me: eric2900@aol.com with what games you own from the following!

HPS/JTS Campaign 1776
HPS/JTS French & Indian War (FIW)
HPS/JTS War of 1812
HPS/JTS Mexican American War (MAW)

AGEOD Birth of America (BoA)
AGEOD Birth of America 2: Wars in America (BoA II: WiA)
AGEOD Rise of Prussia (RoP)

Look for more later! :D

Excellent.

Thanks to all. 15 years is quite some time.

We have had a lot of help over those years and many of the contributors can be seen at:

http://www.wargame.ch/1776/credits.html and our members, current and past.

Bravo! On behalf of myself and Sir (don't call him Bart to his face!) Bartholomew, congratulations to all past and present members of this fine club on it's 15th Anniversary. A special thanks to the Founding Fathers, some of whom are still providing excellent club service.

Though not very active now, I've met a lot of wonderful friends, a few pseudo enemies, learned some history, played a great set of PC games, and had one jolly good time I say! :P
I probably lost years of sleep commanding my loyal Brigade of Guards against the enemies of the Crown, and had the extreme honour of serving as British Army C-i-C for a period of time. I honestly say that the years I spent as an avid CCC member were some of the absolute best on-line experiences I've ever had, and that covers a couple of decades.

A special salute to:
Scott Ludwig
Gary McClellan
Ernie Sands
Gary Cope
Al Amos
David O'Connor
Mike Cox

Thanks Phil!! :)

I have enjoyed very much working with many of you here and sharing ideas, laughs & fun games together..... :) I have enjoyed the humor over the years too, especially that of Lord Natta & Sir Bartholomew....but even the exchanges with others, loinclothes and all... :D

I am very thankful to my staff in the British Army, to the Club Staff at large, it has been great working with you guys (Ernie, Garry, Phil Wilson, Lucas, Cela, Jeff Bangma et al). Thankful to Ernie & Garry who let me just start picking things up to do as we went along & have been very open to a number of things. The Training Center Staff, Garry, Larry Davis, John Durkee (who helps train AGEOD folks) and the others on the Training Staff too who volunteer to serve as needed.

I also want to thank all the members, both past & present....many have left a great legacy with us. Many I am glad to count as my wargaming friends of which I have known for years or even just a short time. We strive to be a bit different and make things more fun and not so much a chore. The world has changed a lot since the year 2000 and we should expect to change a bit too, but in the right ways and not in a way that changes what makes things work well here. We have become more flexible than in years past and I think it has made a difference.

We've got a number of plans & ideas in the works and hoping we can continue to keep things interesting & fun for all, while also keeping us a place for new members to come & join.

To 15 more years and then some!! :D (How old will Ernie be in 15 more years!! )

If you all want a trip down memory lane, I have a set of CCC on Campaign scenarios available at the GameSquad. The armies used were our actual club units and leaders. ;-)
