Gentlemen,

some say, that this is a tough one for the French player.
Hmmh... If a french officer wants to show me that, i will agree on a game with swaped sides.
If not, i am available as Allied player too.
Optional rules all but: manual def. fire, no retreat eliminations, partial retreats, mutiple inf. melees.
House rules negotiable.
Please only French officers, because i prefer fights.

If no Frenchmen appear, I will take your challenge. I played most of the first day of this as the French before my opponent retired from the game and I am eager to play it again, as either side but especially as the French.

Hi Michael,

I have recently purchased Bautzen, but have yet to play it! Are you looking to play a Campaign?

Why would this be tough for the French? Lack of cavalry? Beyond that shortfall, I was always under the impression that in the Spring of 1813 at least the French had sheer numbers on their side... hmmm... will have to take a look at this ....

Let me know if you want to BATTLE. I am at Timothy_Cavallin@sagicor.com

Cheers.

The problem is the first scenario starts as a major defeat for the French and is to short for the French to concentrate. The Allies also hold all the VP's and have more cavalry. I was a play tester for Bautzen and I think this first scenario in the Spring Campaign is very difficult for the French to avoid a major defeat and needs some serious tweaking. Might be better to agree to a draw and advance the campaign to the next fight.
