Good French Sirs, <Salute> (thinks, "there must be one") or just - French Sirs, <Salute>

The time has come when I must again seek a challenge on the battle fields of Europe. Check my record and you will see that beating me will only gain you a very old and rusty sword that I managed to scavenge from a fallen comrade. However I do offer you the opportunity to increase the esteem in which your comrades hold you.

I offer the following; HPS Eckmuhl, HPS Napoleon Russian Campaign, Matrix Napoleon in Russia.

Please do me the honour of not suggesting a scenario where the French {spit} have an easy chance of a victory. I would prefer the HPS games.

Do not be afraid, I have lost to better men than you. Unless you happen to be Jeff Bardon ;-)

Only house rules are; that Skirmishers, Leaders & Supply do not block retreat; skirmishers do not run riot in the rear collecting victory hexes; in HPS Melee is the last action of the turn (this can be map section by map section rather than the whole map).

Hmmmm - all those French {spit} postings about promotions.

Hmmmm - must be playing with themselves, sorry against themselves. ;-)

Apparently our frenchies are busy cosplaying the restoration of His Most Christianic Majesty. That's why so many awards, promotions etc. But it means that any plausible conflic is between Russians and Brits. If you don't mind a maneuver I'll drop you a file tonight.

<Salute> Kosyanenko

In this era our countries were friends and may yet again become so, we are still in a transitional phase I think. In much of history a true Englishman (personal opinion) never did like "France" even if he liked individual "Frenchmen or women". ;-)

Given that I usually lose I would welcome playing the French against a Russian playing Russia. Once the battle is joined I will be playing to win but should I lose I can blame it on my French troops rather than my skill. ;-)

As it is a Russian conflict I will let you choose the scenario.

House rules - skirmishers are not modern day special forces and along with leaders and supply they must not block lines of retreat.

Optional rules - untick - manual defensive fire, line movement , multi infantry melee, no melee elimination.

How does that sound?

<Salute>

I have responded in the past to his call for opponents and he has never responded to me.

When he did not respond after several days, I deleted my post.

Now he complains that the French will not play........give me a break.

Actually it is called "banter" or "wind up" rather than "complain"

Sorry you were offended as no offense meant. Were I on the other team I would make the same comments about the British even though I am actually British.

Hopefully end of literal animosity and back to role play.

that's fine.......

I was offended that you ignored my post responding to your call for opponents......second time you have done it to me.

I finally removed it after several days.

Then when you called French players to task for not responding..........I felt a response was in order.

anyway..........as they say in the states.........no biggie.

back to gaming.
