I am adding in a new "Battle of Dennewitz - Variant" scenario which has more French troops. Looking for a brave French officer that can do a good turnaround of game files. I want to play the 15 minute turn version of the scenario. The setup - the French have the IV and the VII Corps on the map. The Prussians have the 3rd and 4th Corps. The French get the XII and II Corps as reinforcements. The Allies troops arrive sooner. French have better forces ... Allies have a slight manpower edge (Allies have Cossacks and Landwehr ...). Historically the Allies had 59k vs. French 43k. I add in the II Corps (23k less one div - the 6th - total is about 16k for that corps) to give them a total of about 59k. I added in (for fun) v.Lutzow's Freicorps. The Swedes arrive on the north edge of the map to reinforce Dennewitz. The Russians arrive on the western map edge. II Corps arrives on same road that VII Corps used historically. XII Corps arrival hexes are unchanged. House rules: 1. Skirmishers to remain within 6 hexes of a formed unit of their brigade. 2. No charging through friendly artillery. 3. Supply wagons not to be used to cover the flank of units from artillery fire. 4. Colonel Anonymous not to be used as a scout. I would like to do 3 files a week. If that works for you please accept the challenge. I will post the scenario file later. |

I always find 58-60k for the French(but some even beyond in the higher 60k range) and rather weird values for the Allies because sometimes the full amount of Swedish & Russian troops near by but not participating is counted and sometimes not. 50k for them seems close if you count only the troops that arrived till the evening. |

Christian - my numbers here are off. Allies have 82k and French have 59k. Ed - a courier will be on its way to your door this morning. |
