Salute,

Here is a thesis (more of a book considering it over 300 pages) on the history and rise of the Royal Engineers mainly during the Napoleonic Wars. It has specific focus on Peninsula Campaign. It is a scholarly work with numerous sources and references. Some maps, data and a list of the names of numerous engineers are included. The full title is : The Rise of the Scientific Soldier as Seen Through thePerformance of the Corps of Royal Engineers During the Early 19th Century. Written by Mark S Thompson in 2009. I've in no way finished reading it, but it looks interesting.
