Salute,

Here is another oddball article I came across. Following the Drum, British Women in the Peninsular War. It is from 1981 Portland State University by Sheila Simonson. It looks in detail at the lives of British Women in the Peninsular War, their roles and talks topics from wives in depots to women on campaign including issues work, experiences, and criminality. Good sources and runs at 153 pages with all sources. Sometimes we forget about the womenfolk on these campaigns.
