Due to worsening eyesight and shifting personal priorities, I feel it is time that I step back from
my club duties. This is not an easy choice for. I like to think I have served the LGA and this club faithfully and honorably over my 19 years. I have one game on the go and will complete that.

As of January 8th, 2020, I will no longer be in Command of the LGA.

Your new commander will be General Christian Hecht. I hope you will show him the same loyalty that I have always received from La Grande Armee as he steps into this challenging position.

If I am permitted, I would like to remain a member of the NWC but have no official duties

Monsieur le Marechal John Corbin
Retired

Congratulations on your retirement. You have been an integral part of the LGA and to the club as a whole, for a significant period of time.

Although not for me to say, :frenchcharge: but you are more than welcome to remain, in any capacity you choose.

Thanks for your commitment over the years John. You've been a great club member, and an honourable opponent.

I do hope you stay on.

Congratulations, John and enjoy your 'rest' in battles leading the French hosts! Thankyou for your efforts to maintain LGA and the club.

Congratulations also to Christian Hecht - your promotion is deserved, sir. Vive l'Empereur!

As one of my first official acts Maréchal Corbin is shifted to the position of Impériale aid de camp de La Grande Armée to support this period of transition.
This is a more half-retired position for now but the many years of service in the highest position within the LGA are too valuable to be lost right away.
After some upcoming changes within the LGA are done I would be glad to give Maréchal Corbin any position he pleases even a fully retired position if he wishes.

Very sorry to hear that your eyesight has diminished. I knew that you had serious issues with vision.

Thanks for your many, many years of faithful service. You were a calming presence in the club and are one of the major reasons that it is still in existence.

I hope that the newer Zoom In level in the games helps. I like it in the WW2 Panzer games. Sometimes the Normal 2D does not show enough of the terrain in places.

Thanks again, John, and always happy that we got to meet at Tiller Con.
