Good day gentlemen,
I'm in the process of doing a little research and thought it's good to ask around if anyone could provide more source that I could/should utilize.
Basically I'm searching for the locations of the main French troops(Armies & Corps) and Coalition troops(Armies & Corps) around late August to early September, also the composition of those would be good.
But I also researching the reserves that the French & the Coalition formed, for example the 3 French reserve corps that were formed when the GA marched to the Rhein.

Obviously for OOBs there is always the Nafziger collection but good map material for locating the forces is rather thin on my side.

So anything that could be helpful is appreciated.
Thank you.

Ok .. those would be the Channel port camps like Bologne ...

Each corps had one and Davout's was the best organized.

Chandler's book, Campaigns of Napoleon, I think details where each of the corps was located but if not Bowden or Goetz' books on the 1805 campaign might provide you with the info you need.

See Chandler page 384-386. VII Corps - Augereau - was at Brest for instance.

The Atlas of the Napoleonic Wars has a nice map that shows where the Corps were coming from on their way to the Rhine.

This link is a map site that has timelines you can choose.

http://pages.uoregon.edu/dracobly/napoleon/

Just click through the initial text and eventually you get to view the map. Pick the time you want from the timeline at the bottom. It shows where the troops were on any given date. Pretty neat map!

Once you are done with that map you can continue to the next phase of the campaign.

Every so often I stumble across websites like that. Along with what I find on the Napoleon Forum, Nap Miniature forum and what others like Al Amos, etc post I had a nice collection of links on my "new" pc. Alas that pc is down and I am having to rebuild my links again.

I probably should go onto the master drive for that "new" system and recover the "bookmarks.html" file. Had a lot of great Nap sites on it.
