Does anyone remember the old Talonsoft Eastern Front game, not sure if this was ever redone, but in that game buildings could take damage. Wouldn't that be a good idea that buildings could take damage from Artillery and any troops inside have higher fatigue and lower morale. Obviously if it's an objective and it is destroyed then the objective points are lost. I mean if you can destroy bridges, why not fortifications. Anyone have any views on this?

destroying fortification with artillery was not really usual during this period.
the only thing that was done often was to use howitzer to burnt town roof.

Yet another idea ... fires ... but alas its not going to happen, guys.

I love some of the tank games like Battle Academy (which I worked on for Slitherine) that have damaged buildings (3D no less). really neat looking when it happens.

Paco has flushed many of my poor bloody infantry out of buildings with direct or indirect fire in that game ;)

Bill,

I believe Patton called it "reconnaissance by fire." :frenchcool It is hard on civilians, but it sure helps to cut down on your casualties.

One thing comes to my mind that I know from a different game, is it possible to change the map within the game by replacing the current map with another map?
Or maybe replacing the scenario file?
