I recall that I was able to play a full campaign where there was a tree taking me to next scn. depending upon result.

Wagrum had one. Does Marengo?

The older this old git becomes the more practice at playing by himself is satisfying.

From Malaysia where it is hotter than EU (soon) free UK

Not exactly following you, Sellick. Marengo has many campaigns. Each of them has a battle you play and based on the result you then are given another situation and decisions to make.

The 1799 campaign is spaced out over a longer period of time than the rest. The 1800 campaign is the longest in the game.

The smaller campaign for the Quadrilateral area can be played as one long campaign or you can play the segments in individual campaigns.

In each case the outcome of each will lead you to a new branch (or termination point).

In this game I gave a lot of info on what would happen if you want a particular victory level. For this next game I am working on I plan on being less descriptive but will let the players know when its the final battle of the campaign OR if a campaign termination is a possible outcome.

I started doing this as I played one of the JTS campaigns one time (no title mentioned here) and suddenly the campaign was over. No hint that it was the final battle.

Anyway, let me know what you need to know. Maybe be a bit more descriptive.

Happy Easter, and enjoy the wine....

I played a couple of campaigns. Awfully big maps and not a lot of units. The single battles suit me better in this one.

Yes, depending on the battle most of them do not have the usual 70k men you are used to with Leipzig!

In the later scenarios of the 1800 Marengo campaign the scenarios have a larger size (50k+). If you are playing the Quadrilateral campaign or one of its smaller segments there are usually 40k French vs. a bit more for the Allies.

1799 has one smallish action but the rest are all full sized battles.

I passed on doing the early part of the 1796 campaign. If you play the scenarios for the early period of the 1796 campaign (main folder) you will see why. The situations are pretty small and rather one sided.
