recently, there was a post about this club, asking what could be done to improve it.

I wish more people would respond to questions asked and start some kind of dialog to improve the club.

I posed several RBR questions about various issues and had over 100 views with zero responses.

When Bill Peters is available he always responds. Unfortunately he is indisposed for now.

There has to be other members who have purchased and are playing this game.

In the the future I guess I should ask my questions in the "Blitz".

Someone always responses at the "Blitz"..

I think this club is in serious trouble when members could not be bothered posting.

Well someone correct me but the view count might also go up if search machines act on the board?

Anyhow it's seems true that activity on this board is rather low, but that is in part also a problem because the club doesn't reach out to the people, neither frequently by musters or infrequently by sending club newsletters out.
A newsletter requesting participation in this would have helped to get people to participate.

Hey Clint
I think the club boards self destructed a while back and we have two clubs now with neither very active in the forums. I for one don't bother with them anymore. A shame it used to be fun. I use what limited time I have to play only. But feel free to message me anytime if you have anything I could advise you on. As for RBR I am no expert on that though.

PS I should add I think that whilst the boards are quite the game play is fairly active so the club is not dead as such.

All the best
Colin

Game records show that we still are an active club. Folks don't chat as much on the forums and Colin explained it well.

Used to be a lot of fun and folks are still welcome to post funny things as well as good info too.

A lot of players are getting older. Many have been here a number of years and have run out of interesting/humerous banter or technical questions to ask. A lot of us have real life issues. A number of folks aren't interested in the forum side in any event and even fewer are into roleplay.

As has been stated, this is an informal wargame club. People come and go as they please. A quick look at the games for 2018 played and in progress shows a healthy participation. Newsletters and reaching out require both time and active participation and requests are always of the "somebody should do something" type.

As for the particular questions re RBR. It's most likely folks don't know the answer. I for one would not like to see 50 responses of the "I have no idea" type. I saw your question and am one of those who simply skipped on. Bill I am sure will address your questions when he has the time, he's very busy with real life at the moment.

Some of us are still lurking about. I am still engaged in trying to dethrone the Emperor and his minions (there seem to be fewer of them of late). God Save the King!

And I still have a place on the wall of my trophy room for Colin's sword. :frenchlol:

Sir Muddy me thinks you are hinting that the French are afraid to come out and fight. ;)

I am playing an RBR opponent on the Blitz board and I asked if he has joined this club.

He said he applied and no one got back to him.

Is this club taking new members?

Hey Clint,

Yes we are! Though the forms are not being helpful right now.

Which side did they submit to join?

I'm still around, but it's all I can do to handle the email Support and project work...no time to play or keep tabs on all the forums... the best place for people asking questions about the games from a technical stand point is the JTS Support account...and of course anyone can repost my replies here as desired.

Back in the day when I was single and only worked one job I would spend several hours a week on admin and probably 20+ on game play... those days are long gone...
