Heading back down on Monday to San Diego to clear out my storage space. The rental cost got jacked up so I have to "get er done."

I will be "salvaging" some of my things but for the most part a lot of it has to go. Keeping my guitar, 300 CD music collection (in 3 small carrying cases), Napoleonic books and other personal items. Mailing boxes to Boise and carrying some things on the plane.

The HQ will be back in business Wednesday morning.

Got a great deal on CheapTickets.com for a round trip, non-stop flight on Alaskan Airlines. Going to get some research reading done while on the plane.

Once this trip is over "The Great California Journey" will officially be over. Thank God! ROFL

Just a trip update: everything went well for the most part except that I left my debit card at a restaurant and am still waiting on the replacement card to arrive.

I took two bags, a suit bag and my guitar with me on the plane and mailed the rest of the stuff (that I kept) via US Mail. Three of the four boxes have arrived (Media mail) but the last box is not here yet. Hoping that it will get her by Friday.

Nice to have my remaining Napoleonic books here with me. I had to leave some behind. Fortunately it was books that I can replace (Road to Rivoli was one of them I think).

Looking to get a bicycle so I can get out and ride on the Greenbelt. Here are a couple of pics to give you some idea how nice it is here.

Most memorable feature of Idaho (from an airplane) are the Palouse hills. Imagine having an armored battle in that terrain.

The Sawtooths are lovely. Much like my native California's Sierras. Just love it up here. Lots of room to grow still. The cities have not all grown totally together yet and the pace of building in the Treasure Valley, though brisk at times, will not accomplish that until I am long gone.

Smaller towns are nice places to live as well.

We can be up in the mountains in a matter of like 20-30 mins. from my place.
