Indeed! A most pitched battle, but Marschall Vorwärts lived to fight again the next day!

Can someone identify the cavalry units in this image? I believe the French are on the left - (Red) Guard lancers - but who are the cavalry on the right?

Thanks! They did not look Prussian and sure, the French Gd. Lancers were at Q-B.

The page I pulled that image off of was describing a big charge by 32 squadrons of Prussians at the end of Ligny to allow the army to retreat. Go figure! ;)

:frenchshock: :frenchcharge:

Not surprising!

For years when I'd Google image search Prussian Army Waterloo this image would show up:

Well, ok....um.

I might've found the source, who certainly uses this one while talking about Prussians. Problem is it's for a miniature solider painting site.

Then there's this Twitter post:

"205th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, where Napoleon was defeated by a combined Anglo-Prussian army led by Wellington."

Well, be glad that the Prussians are mentioned at all. Not sure where I saw it but this British Waterloo complex that is on the attitude of "Just don't mention the Prussians!" is pretty solid with a lot people, good that others worked up the Waterloo topic much less biased.
Let's face it, Wellington would have been finished that day without the Prussians.

This is the text for my picture in post #2. You would only have to add the picture address between and any picture should be shown.
