This appears to be a French romp. In fact in the game I played it was as I managed to trap a stack of Spanish cavalry and eliminate it. Had the cavalry escaped then the game would simply be one of the French trying to gain access to the town via a few gates, and bombarding the defenders with artillery placed on higher ground. The best bet for the Spanish player therefore is to hide behind the walls and not attempt any offensive action out in the open. |
