At long last I'm trying to celebrate a 200th anniversary of a famous campaign properly. This includes playing out a series of corresponding scenarios. Hence need a partner or several partners for a number of self made H&R scenarios:
Stage 1:
1. Demonstrator A. 24 turns long AAA Corps vs. French Corps scenario to ensure playability of the setting.
2. Demonstrator B. 24 turns long Prussian Corps vs. French Corps scenario to ensure playability of the setting.
Stage 2:
3. Huge scenario in the setting of 007 Large historical, covering possible actions of June 15-20. About 800 turns long.
4. Large scenario covering the whole situation since the morning of June 16th till the evening of June 18th. About 350 turns.
5. Large scenario covering the full day of June 18th. About 100 turns.

All the scenarios wold be done in H&R setting - including custom oob, pdt. All the features are to be demonstrated, quite naturally, by the demonstrators. All of them would feature 10 min turns. Positions 3-5 may be played either head to head or in MP mode. The number of turns as usually is indicative. It does not mean that I want to playy all the 1500 of them. Simply the players should not be constrained by artificial time horisons. Nevertheless with such a scale a reliable turnaround close to 7 turns a week is absolutely required.

Frenchies are preferred, but not a must.

Hi Anton

Now I would like to participate in this and see how things go but the only problem is I am not a computer expert so anything outside of a basic download, I am pretty useless, so does this involve any modifications to existing games and if it does do I need to make backups and could I be guided through the set-up.

If the above is fine I would be willing to do one of the shorter battles as I am very interested in these rules of yours.

This is a concept and effort that I personally feel needs to be supported. Unfortunatly a turn a day may prove more the I can reliably provide, espeacilly over the holidays. If all else fails please keep me in mind.

Regards
Walt

Dear Mark,

No, on your side it won't require anything but download and unzip. All the instructions would be provided. The Demonstrator A is almost ready. Hope to complete it tonight and will send you all the files.

Walt,

All the files would be placed on the internet. So we could either have something smaller or you could try finding other opponents to play them. I understand that on time horizons of several years a lot of things can happen. Slow downs are possible and understandable. But unless the nor is a turn a day the big battle has all the probability never to conclude.

Monsieur I would give it a go once more we never finish the 1812 game, but would love the long 1815 after the new years if there is a team I would love to get the 3 players of the Prussian MPT in that.

Gents,

The files for Demo A are placed here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=15046 . Just unzip them into your Campaign Waterloo folder. They will not affect the game engine.

I'll be able to run two versions - one as the French and one as the Allies. If interested, please send your courriers to anton_kosyanenko[at]yahoo[dot]com

Installed and it looks good! All I need now is a partner.

What Optional Rules are recommended for this?

It's desirable to turn off morale boosting rules - flank moral modifier and rout limiting. Other than that there are no preferences. I'd use my usual set of optional rules (see attached).

Regarding the house rules they are not necessary. At least the setting was intended to provide a way of historical playing without them. Of course skirms leash and embedded melee will iprove historicity even further.

What would you say about taking the British side?

I'm happy with the Allies. Fire up the game when ready.

I'm not a fan of any house rules so a design which takes that into account without compromising gameplay or historicity is good with me.

Hi Anton,

Being a fan and developer of a Leipzig H&R game myself, I would be very interested to see what you have created here. Can you forward to my the links to where I can find your files?

Many thanks!
Tim
