Hi Giovanni,

I have all those titles if you require a French officer to balance up an M.P. game.

I will play if the players:

1. Stick to a good pace.

2. Agree to let a team player move troops for a player that has to be away or is too slow.

2 files a week is desired for me to make the game interesting. I am not asking for anything faster.

Will play on the Allied side for any game other than Waterloo or BPW.

hi bill,
i agree, the commander moving troops for a missing/tardy player is a given, only way to keep the game moving. the other Prussian player is Ludwig Schmidt. we would prefer something from Leipzig or jena since we are Prussians . I am waiting to hear back from the French

regards

In my opinion we could play Eckmuhl scenario "Designers" it seems there's more challenge.

Am I in or was this a 2 on 2 challenge?

I can play something from Eckmuhl if the other two Prussians agree but frankly one of the 1813-14 titles interests me more. There is a huge one map-one scenario from Leipzig set in the north German area - either the Gross Beeren or Dennewitz campaign. I played the Dennewitz scenario with Paco and the French kicked my booty so it can be won as the French.

Nice big map like Eckmuhl.

If you want to do this Designers scenario is this something I put together (lol shows you how much I forgot over 15 years)?

If you French want to play the Designers scenario from Eckmuhl just know:

1. The French IV Corps is stuck way out on a limb down in the south. Similar situation to Lefebvre in "Hunting Davout" I doubt that Soult can go over to the offensive.

2. Far to the north Vandamme's VIII Corps is in a worse position. Stuck behind the Danube with a long march to unite with the center they are not going to be able to help the main French force near Abensberg.

I would accept this challenge for this scenario right away but frankly it just looks too easy to win as the Austrians.

1. I move on Abensberg, dividing the French command.
2. Send a strong force south to take care of the IV Corps.
3. Observe Vandamme with one division in Regensberg ... the 2 Armeekorps retires behind the Danube, blows the bridge and that effectively leaves Vandamme stuck on the north bank OR he can march southwest to cross at Kelheim and link up with II Corps.

Al and Charlie had a good idea but I would have put Vandamme with Oudinot, put IV Corps to the south of Abensberg and that would have allowed both sides still a lot of maneuvering room while uniting the French-Allied army and giving both sides a good fight.

But its your call ....
