Officers and Gentlemen of fine Army of Tennessee <Salute>

Gentlemen, Season’s greetings to you and all your kin. Well, another year is nearly over, and I am happy to put it behind me. Down in the deep deep southern state’s life has been a bit nuts as our government spins out over COVID, however the bigger issue is of course the ongoing war of northern aggression. I am pleased to report that our efforts on the battlefield this year have stopped those persons up north from transgressing on our southern soil and in fact units of our great Army of Tennessee have pushed deep into Illinois and Iowa, drinking and burning their way towards the Great Lakes.

The Years Command Appointments

The following young men joined the Army of Tennessee over the past year;

Field Lieutenant Chris Lane
Field Lieutenant Chiel Faber
Field Lieutenant Jason Campbell
Field Lieutenant Philip Jones
Field Lieutenant's Colin Davis

Field Lieutenant Josh Jansen
Field Lieutenant Ashdoll Ren
Field Lieutenant John Kesson
Field Lieutenant Kirk Allton
Field Lieutenant van Nix

Promotions to General Ranks

Brigadier General Michael Chandler
Brigadier General Blake Stickler
Brigadier Thomas Marshall

Battlefield Performance

The information below is based only on the games ended year to date;

330 games played

4 multi player battles

267 Battles – results of which are:

CSA Major Victory – 96
CSA Minor Victory - 30
Draw - 75
USA Major Victory - 40
USA Major Victory – 26

Well done Gentlemen, an excellent result and a lot of battles played. General John Dragan would have been most proud <Salute>

Tournaments

This coming year is the 25th anniversary of the American Civil Wargaming Club and a number of new Tournaments have been organised. The one that is most pertinent to us is the Wild West 1863 Challenge: Part One – use this link 1863 Sign Up | ACWGC. So if you have room on your dance card please sign up.

Army Leadership

As you may be aware from looking at our OoB we are very short of army leadership, we currently have vacancies for 1 Corps Commander, 3 Division Commanders and a Chief of Staff. None of these roles are particularly onerous when it comes to time, the primary function of the CC and the DC’s is keeping in touch with the officers in their command. It can be more than that if you wish. The role that does have more work is the Chief of Staff, who is required to help me with some of the AoT administration with a view of maybe taking over as the Army Commander when I step down. So, if you can help by stepping up please contact my HQ.

The Coming Year

Gentlemen I wish you and your kin all the best for the coming year. As for the northern war of aggression I can sense impending victory, our quick spring campaign to take Wisconsin will be the straw that breaks the union back. Some of my staff have questioned the wisdom of taking Wisconsin for the Confederacy, however, please be reassured that we shall return it to the Union in the winter – to damned cold.

Christmas Party

I have been swamped with requests that we hold an Army of Tennessee Christmas Party, who am I to say no. So, an AoTCP will be held at the good old Vicksburg Arms Tavern the week prior to Christmas. My Confederate Express credit card has only just recovered from the last one, so I will send my HQ cavalry squadron out to do over a few Union Banks and maybe accidently take the ANV Paymasters stash of cash.

Keep up the scare!
