Gents,

The West calls me again. It has been great these past few years being home in the Ole ANV again, after many years spent out West prior. But alas this Old War Horse doesn't know how to stop looking for trouble... :mrgreen:

Hats off to the old ANV CO John Newton. You're a good man John! I enjoyed serving under your command.

My old friend Steve Kitchen, II Corps CO, you Sir are about the best they come. Thanks for allowing me to serve with you.

My boys of Hill's Light Division, 2nd Division, II Corps. You fellows were a great division to serve with. Do me proud with the musters! :mrgreen:

The III Swamp Legion Corps.....you're always my home.... :D Many old faces there and you are in great hands with Giorgio! 8)

Finally General Stiles! :shock: :) You have made the ANV a wonderful Army. Carrying on the traditions of many fine men before you. You are a great leader, despite what those Strickler & McOmish guys say about ya! I'll give 'em something to talik about out West! Show 'em how we really win a War! :)

Oh I almost forgot and to Bob Weir too! My counterpart, once again actually.....I am always slightly jealous of not being Theater Commander in the East.... :D You Sir do an excellent job and having really handed down some many fine traditions to this Army.

Nick Kunz as well, Mr. CSA, himself whom I don't think get's enough credit as he deserves. A good man for sure! 8)

Willie Tisdale, Den McBride, DW Mallory, Nick Kunz, the now retired Jon Cuneo, Chris Cross and Dave Bowman - all the CoA's I have served under in my previous trip out West, the always guiding hands of the CSA Leadership. Now a whole new generation to serve under starting with Cam....thanks to you all... :D

Thanks for the complement Scott...truth be told it's all your fault I'm ETC...if it wasn’t for your bringing me on as WTC CoS those many years ago General Kunz might never have offered me the spot.

I can not agree more about your regard for those that have served before...and those that continue to serve, what this club is today rests squarely on the shoulders of those officers that have stepped up and served their fellow members.

God....how could I forget.....I did have you as my CoS. SOOO much water over that dam I forgot. I am glad you reminded me. Couldn't of picked a better officer! :mrgreen:

Drinks to all those who have stepped up in any fashion whatsoever!

I can only hope the second time around I pick just as great of a CoS! :mrgreen:
