Post subject:  War Horse Medal for Lt. Gen. Swanson
Gentlemen,

It gives me great pleasure to award Lt. Gen. Paul Swanson the War Horse Medal. This medal is awarded for reaching 1,000 OBD Battle-only points in the DoR. Swanson has been a member of the ACWGC since October of 2020. He has recorded 98 battles in the Department of Records and been victorious in 63 of them! He has commanded a Corps in this army in the past and now serves as a division commander in the I Corps. This is a very special accomplishment and one that takes great dedication and perseverance to achieve.

I thank you kindly for this award. I am very pleased to be one of only seven who have ever received it. A lot of Yankees needed to fall to my sword to achieve it.

It shall hold a special place alongside some of my other relatively rare ones:
Robert E. Lee Medal (only five of us being awarded it under the current criteria);
John Pelham Medal (only three recipients); and last, but not least
Whitworth Sharpshooter Medal (although there were a number of recipients in past years I believe I am the only one still with the CSA who has it).

A nice award and congratulations but I have received the War Horse Medal as well. On second thought, I think that mine was the Pack Mule Medal. Sorry for the intrusion. A round for everybody so as to excuse my intrusion.

I am pleased to advise that even you made a small contribution to my receipt of that award (13 OBD) although you came out of it with more points than me (17 OBD).
