Post subject:  ACWGC Presidential Nominations-IMPORTANT NOTICE
Gentlemen of the ACWGC.

Further to Notification to all Members of the Impending Election of a new Club President:

Please take this Notice as Notification that Nominations and Candidate Declarations are now being accepted by the Election Committee.

<b><font color="red"><font size="4">NOTE: All nominations will be acknowledged by the Election Committee, by return email.</font id="red"></font id="size4"></b>

The Pertinent Club Rules and Cabinet interpretations regarding this Process are as follows:

<font color="yellow">3.3.4.1.5 Dates for nominations and voting are to be set by the Election Committee and published in the Mason-Dixon Tavern, with notice also in the Smoking Room. A minimum of one week should be allowed for nominations, one additional week for campaigning, and one additional week for voting. </font id="yellow">

Nominations open from the 2nd Day of October - (Today) - and will close at the end of October 11th (ALL Time Zones)

<font color="yellow">3.3.4.2 Campaigning - Once the candidates are determined, each will be encouraged to post one campaign message thread at the Smoking Room for any information he would like to share. Supporters may add to the thread. In the club spirit of behaving like gentlemen, however, negative statements regarding other candidates are highly discouraged. Posts in violation of this rule are subject to removal.

<u><font color="red">Nominated Officers are requested to <b>REFRAIN </b>from making any posts regarding Their personal Candidacy or Policies - <b>UNTIL AFTER THEIR CANDIDACY HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY THE ELECTION COMMITTEE</b>.</u> </font id="red">

Confirmation will follow after close of Nominations via direct email to the Candidates AND publication of the Candidates', their Proposers' and Seconders' Names on Club Boards.

To preclude any inadvertent or untimely influence on the Electorate - the Notification of Accepted Candidates will ONLY contain the Names of all relevant Candidates', their Proposers' and Seconders' Names on Club Boards.

<font color="yellow">3.3.4.2.1 Candidates for any Cabinet-level position must have a rank of Colonel or above.

3.3.4.2.2 Candidates must be nominated by two other members before being placed on the ballot. Other than the President, nominating officers must be from the same military group as the candidate being nominated. </font id="yellow">

<font color="red"><b>Candidates and the 2 Members nominating Them, must - At <u>All</u> Times - use their <u>OFFICIAL CLUB E-mail addresses</u> for <u>ALL</u> correspondence relating to the Election.</b> </font id="red">


<font color="yellow">3.3.4.2.3 Nominations are to be submitted to the entire Cabinet.</font id="yellow">

Emails with the nominations and the names of the proposer and seconds should be sent to:

<font color="red"><b>In the interest of Fairness to ALL - Enquiries, Questions and/or Clarifications are requested to be posted at the ACWGC Cabinet Board</b></font id="red">

NO INDIVIDUAL or PRIVATE correspondence will be entered into by any Member of the Cabinet, the Cabinet as a whole, or the Election Committee for the duration of the Election Process.
