Post subject: | Slow Response - Family Situation |
Gents, My Dad went into a local hospital last week for what was supposed to be a fairly 'routine' procedure (at least for the doctors!) -- a heart catheterization, angioplasty, and three stents. The whole thing was supposed to take about 90 minutes. It ended up taking about 5 hours, and they never could get the third stent in. He's doing fine, but he's travelling to St. Louis next week (Wednesday) so a bigger hospital can give it a go. I plan to go up to be with him and Mom, so if my responses this week are slower than usual please chalk it up to that. Your humble servant, Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory David W. Gentlemen, My Dad's heart procedure went very well. He went home yesterday after an overnight stay in the hospital for observation. Mom says he's in great spirits -- which she attributes to the St. Louis Cardinals win last night! They're his favorite team, and he was in St. Louis for the procedure. Good thing it was an away game, or she might have had a difficult time keeping him in the hospital! Anyway, thanks for keeping him and my entire family in your thoughts.
