Gentlemen, As promised in my inaugural address last month, this is to deliver my first quick summary of the items the Cabinet has addressed during November: 1) Approved a club-wide medal, the "Legion of Merit", to be awarded by the Cabinet to officers providing distinguished club-wide service. 2) Approved the first presentation of the Legion of Merit award to Past President General Pierre Desruisseaux. 3) Approved and presented for club-wide vote rule changes regarding Replacement CoA terms. (These were approved by club-wide vote.) 4) As President, I appointed General Chris Cross as Interim CSA CoA, to serve until elections could be held. 5) Approved logistics for CSA CoA election. (CSA CoA Election Committee members: Patrick Carroll, Ernie Sands, and myself). Opened Nominations. 6) Approved logistics for two Cabinet Secretary elections (one USA and one CSA). Opened Nominations. I know this sounds like a lot, but (lest I scare off any potential candidates for the two open Cabinet Secretary position [:)] !) remember this was the first time in the history of the club we have ever had a new Club President, and several of these items dealt with that transition. I am hoping things settle down by the first of the year [:D] !
