OK, I have an email address I ONLY USE FOR THIS CLUB that has been in existence less than 2 months.

Today I got an EMAIL SPAM to it. I am hoping it is only a lucky random hit and that the email address didn't get harvested.

Has anyone else gotten a PAYPAL SPAM Letter?

It could be a random hit, lots of these things are sent out that way, lately I've been getting spam from people offering to provide me email lists I can send spam to.

It also appears to me the spammers are getting smarter, I find more is getting thru my spam filter lately because they are using subject lines that are designed to beat the system. As to the Paypal spam I get that a lot at all three of my email addresses and I believe it is random. I knew that one was fake the first time I got it because it was to an email that was not listed on my Paypal account. It's usually caught by the filter and I don't pay any attention to it when it shows up anymore. I sent it to Paypal the first couple times I got it but that doesn't do any good. Until they start blacklisting the providers who allow their email service to be used for these con jobs and cut off their access to the internet nothing is going to be done about this stuff.

The one I heard was:
"Join the Navy and see the world"
it should continue to say:
"discover 60% of it is covered in water that all looks the same - unless you're in a submarine where you won't see even that much"

This from a 28 year veteran.
