Post subject: | Problem: Artillery taken out by routing unit |
Gentlemen, Currently engaged at Shiloh - Columbia, Playing the Reb in this Mirror match. Routed some Union boys, they traveled five to six hexes and ran through some of my limbered artillery on the road and decrewed them. Now I understand you are not suppose to use artillery to block routed units and that is what the rule change was intended to accomplish, but these guns were behind my lines on a road no where near his unit. The road was filled with artillery, wagons and cavalry units. The routed unit should not have been able to rout through them and Kill the entire crew. Lt Gen Joseph C. Hi, General, Same thing happened to me at Port Gibson (Vicksburg) where a routing unit wiped out my limbered artillery and the entire command staff of the Missouri Division. Rich Walker assured me that a patch was forthcoming. Don't know if it has been issued yet though. That was before the captured artillery option. MG Mike Mihalik 1/III/AoMiss/CSA |

Had this happen in a Gettysburg game as well - luckily it happened to my opponent instead of me... ![]() General Jeff Laub Union Chief of the Army ACWGC Cabinet Member http://www.geocities.com/laubster22/UnionHQ/ |
