General Miller and I have finished a custom scenario, investigating Hooker's proposed move on Lee's line of communications, with the available Harper's Ferry garrison in tow. The scenario is 168 turns, and is full of options to both players. Anyone who'd like to check it out, feel free to send me a courier, and I'll get it to you post haste.

Col. Hodgkiss,

Was this the scenario used for "Hooker's Gamble"?

Kinda...but based on it. I thought that it'd be a good scenario to play, after I read the after action report. So I dialed up Gen. Miller, and off we went. There are a few differences, but the same basic idea.

Col Hodgkiss developed his own version of the scenario for HPS Gettysburg using one of the June25 oob. I assisted him in developing the scenario. Although using the same premise it is not identical and is probably going to be more difficult for the rebels.

Another feature added was use of the new weather option in the pdt to create a more realistic sighting range. We did not add any weather affects to movement/combat but visibility increases at a slower rate starting at 2 hexes at dawn (4 AM) and slowly increasing to the maximum of 70 at 6:20 AM rather than starting at 4 hexes at dawn and going to 70 an hour later at 5 AM. The reverse occurs in the late afternoon with visibility beginning to reduce at 17:40 and finally getting to 1 hex at 2000.

Might want to post it over at GS as well, and get some more circulation out of it:

Rich,

Just posted it at GS, with a bit more of a description. I hadn't even considered posting there. Thanks for the heads up.
