Sirs, I am contemplating a new computer and have an interest in looking at a Mac. What kind of havoc would that cause me? Is it game friendly with our Talonsoft and HPS games? Any input as to if this is a good or bad move would be appreciated. General Bill Zuelsdorff V/3/4 AoP |

Getting an MAC is like taking a donkey to a horse race. It looks alright, it smells right, it eats the same hay, but it runs like a DONKEY![:D] If you have no special reason for a MAC, get a BIG MAC, first, then buy a NEW PC![:p] Ernie Sands General, Commanding, Army of Ohio ![]() ACWGC Cabinet Member ACWGC Records Site Administrator |

The Macintosh is a good computer. The best if you run a lot of graffics or like an intuitive interface . . . but HPS doesn't issue their games in a Mac version, so you'd have to get an overlay software program to run them on a Mac, and therefore the performance wouldn't be as good as a PC. In the world of games programmers write them for DirectX and the PC. Only the a few of the mass market games ever show up in a Mac version. You can get an immulation software that allows the Mac to run MS Windows but games usually access hardware at to low a level for this to work for them. If you aren't in the graphic arts business and don't use a Mac at work and need to take your work home, avoid a Mac. The rest of the world uses and writes for PC's. LG.
