Being a newbie I am not sure if I have the whole LOS thing sorted. In the North Wood scenario I have my guns sited on the following hexes 40, 34 (520ft) 41, 35 (520ft) 42, 33 (490ft) 43, 36 (490ft) and 43, 33 (460ft). In all cases I wanted to fire at Federal infantry in an elevated wooded hex 43, 28 (490ft) but was denied b/c my LOS was supposedly blocked by woods in 43, 29 (460ft). As these woods are below the level of the target hex I thought I should have been able to blow the pants off those people - am I missing something here? Lt, depending on the map youre playing on (Antietam?) the tree heights can vary. In the BG games they were 30ft high (and i think 50 ft in Chickamauga) Lt DeStefano 4Bde,2nd Div,2nd Corps AoM |

Lt. Blair if you click on the icon on the tool bar that looks kind of like a old ships steering wheel, it shows what hexes are visable to the hex you've highlighted.
