Post subject: | 1,000 Points - Twice |
I believe that I'm the first member to achieve the glorious honor of accumulating more than 1,000 points as both a Reb and as a Yank. If that ain't so, then step yourself up to the bar and tell us what you've done. I'm full of tales of victory and defeat, expected and unexpected. Bartender, set 'em up and I'll buy everyone in the club a round tonight. Now, Bartender, don't get your panties in a wad over some two year old bar bill. I'm good for it and I have a dozen folks here that will guarantee the bill - where did everybody go? Lt Gen Ned Simms 1/1/VIII/AoS/USA Blood 'n Guts hisself, a land lovin' pirate. Show me some arty tubes and we'll charge 'em. VMI Class of '00 |

Lt General Simms, Ned, Why Sir... I'll have a drink on your tab! Thank you! <salute> Now as for your accomplishment of earning 1000 points on each side of the Club. Congratulations! But really... the way I figure it 1000 Reb Points - 1000 Yank Points still equals a big fat ZERO!!!! [:p] Aw, I'm just jealous cause I didn't do it myself! (????) [:D] Anyway, now that you've accomplished that feat... what's next? Are you going to try for 2,000 & 2,000? If so... I've got a spot for you right here in my Corps where you can start earning your next 1000 Reb Points! Shall I send General Tisdale a note requesting your transfer? Thanks again for the drink! And congratulations, Sir! That "IS" quite an accomplishment! General Roger Hulinsky ![]() Cmdg, Cavalry IV Corps, AoM http://www.rogerhulinsky.com/index.html |

But since as everyone knows 1 Reb point can beat 10 yank points, I'd say you have about 9,000 Northern Aggression points to go before you can call it even... [:p] Well done, suh! <SALUTE!> Maj Gen Sean Turner 3rd Cavalry Division, "The Bishop's Men" I Corps Army of Alabama |

Ned, I've done some investigating... and somehow your figures have come up short on the Confederate side of the Club! [:(] Honestly, anyone that has been around the Club for a long time knows that it used to be a whole lot easier to earn OBD Points. I went to Pierre to ask him if he still had the old record keeping devices that we used to use before the Club's Automated Record keeping system. (You know... those pieces of slate we used to write on with chalk?) [:p] As it turns out... Pierre still had them. And after a couple hours of blowing the dust off of them, here's some of the entries that we found on your behalf. 100 Admin Points Awarded - Fed and watered General Jim Thomas's horse 70 Admin Points Awarded - Changed diapers and spoon fed lost Yanks 47 Admin Points Awarded - Polished Gen Gary Cope's awards for parade 23 Admin Points Awarded - Walked Den McBride home from the Tavern 17 Admin Points Awarded - Investigated stories about the "Phantom" 9 Admin Points Awarded - Painted Gen Sam Orlando's ambulance These are just a sample of the admin awards Pierre and I discovered attributed to you in the early days of the Club. But here is the BIGGIE... 475 Admin Points Awarded - Compensation for not participating in Club Tourney's so that the Confederate Forces had a chance to win!!! [;)] Anyway Ned, We love you! And now it all becomes VERY CLEAR why we sent you over to the Union side of the Club in the first place! [:D] Three Cheers for Ned Simms! The best Yank that ever lived! [^] General Hulinsky |
