Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'strArray'

/board/acw/inc_func_common.asp, line 1447

I get this message trying to enter to basic page for all the forums. The tavern is the only forum I can enter. Has anybody encountered this before?

All the time.

Just go to the forum you want and enter your information; it should be fine after that.

I think we need to make a sticky for this one as it keeps coming up.

If you look at the links on the top of the page and see one marked My Subscriptions you are subscribed to a link and this will cause the problem you are having. If this is so click on the My Subscriptions link and delete all of your subscriptions and the problem should clear up. If there is no link for My Subscriptions than you have another problem.

I have tried deleting my subscription to these topics and they do not disappear from the list. Is there a time lag before the subsription is cancelled? I still get the same error message and am unable to get into forums seeking opponents etc.

Any help is appreciated.

Try clearing your browsers cache. It might help.

OK to verify things I suscribed to a topic, here is what I got

Image

I clicked on the My Subscriptions link. clicked on Unsuscribe and got a window that asked if I really wanted to unsuscribe.

Image

When I clicked on OK I got another window verifying I was no longer suscribed to the post

Image

and my screen looked like this.

Image

As you can see there is no longer a link titled My Subscriptions.

If you still have a link your subscriptions have not been removed, if you didn't get the verification window you may have a pop-up blocker running in which case your subscriptions will not be cancelled and the problem will not be fixed.

If you don't have a link then there is another problem that I am not aware of in play here.

Removing Subscriptions should do the trick.

Thank you Gen. Ken Miller.

the unsubscription button wouldnt work until figured out that there was a pop up to follow that my browser blocked. I had to allow popups in order to clear my subscrioptions.

Lt. Ravenswaay,

Glad you got everything worked out, I was not aware of the problem with the pop up blocker. I have edited my original instructions on clearing this error to show the additional window and included this possibility.

Gen Desruisseaux,

You might want to delete some of the posts here to move the instructions for clearing this problem up, I think we've got it pretty well covered now.
