General Mullins,

You are probably referring to Mikel Uriguen's fabulous Generals of the American Civil War website, which was taken down some two years ago due to the exhorbitant cost associated with maintaining the site that is imposed upon internet usage in Spain. Mikel has saved all of his data and all of those great photos in the hopes of eventually getting them back up at some point in the future.

Not sure if this helps you any (depending on what you need the photos for), but the two volumes "Generals in Blue" and "Generals in Gray" by Ezra Warner have pictures for all the generals (save one I think).

What was even more unfortunate was the loss of the site on Brevet Generals, many of the lesser known union generals and colonels were available on that site, I got many of the pictures I used for the large leaders.bmp file I created for Corinth 1.01 from there.

This site seems to have a very good selection.

Thanks Earnie for this one.
I have your leaders bitmap Ken I will look at that again.
Maybe we shall see the old site back. What about getting Mikel Uriguen's fabulous Generals of the American Civil War website contents up on ACW.ORG SITE.
I want the B/W pics to colour. Someone was asking about them. I got bogged down with the management side of work which involved alot of pc work and when I got home did not fancy more time on the screen. Now I have gone back to the physical side in Royal Mail and my brain needs to be challanged. Working on the Gettysburg bitmap at the moment.

Frank, I was asking about the link to your leader bmps? I have used them where I can and the colors are a very nice addition to the games.

Frank, no, I have used them for all of my HPS games and for the most part they work just fine.
